I have read conflicting advice in different books on how to direct the air stream for high notes. Some books say to blow more across the tone hole and others say to reduce the opening between the lip edge and the opposite edge of the tone hole and direct the air more down into the tone hole. Both seem to work to some degree for me. Any consensus on which is better?
Thanks.

To get the highnotes, the airstream has to be aimed upwards, push your jaw forward when playing higher and bring it back when playing lower, lower notes the air should be aimed downwards and higher notes the air should be aimed upwards. hope this helps
